Maybe you're thinking about selling your business and maybe you're not. In either event, someday you likely will! Being able to present your company in the right way will help you in every scenario, whether it be to court buyers, attract investors, secure a loan or just to have a really successful business.
At Astero Group, our CFOs have deep experience in knowing how to tell the right story to third-parties. A similar list was just emailed to us by Leila Hormozi as we're here writing on this exact same topic. Here are the goal criteria:
Leadership team in place running day to day
Marketing without the face of the founder
Delivery of services without face of founder
Multiple reliable customer acquisition channels
Reliable (low churn) recurring revenue
Low customer concentration (no one customer > 10% of revenue)
Automated metric tracking / KPIs
High cash flow, profitable, growing (with story)
Audit ready financials (so critical)
$3M+ EBITDA
This might seem onerous and intimidating, but if you get these right, you will have a superior outcome.

This is the direct result of how the company was sculpted at inception. For example, as remote fractional CFOS, we have no offices or commutes, thus low energy and pollution output and creation.
